 FAQ’s

  • For years now I have wanted to live off grid and have my own little animal sanctuary for small animals, like rabbits & reptiles. I have been studying for the off grid life for many years, making sure I knew what I was getting into, but I had one hindrance. My type 1 diabetes. I could not do this dream alone knowing that I have a history of randomly passing out due to insulin sensitivity. That’s a heavy weight to carry if you are looking after other creatures. If I go down, who’s going to manage the homestead?

Well August of 2021 I had a pancreas transplant that drastically changed my life, and not in a good way I was hoping for. Though I did get my wish, I do now have controlled blood sugar levels, it came with a heavier price. I became very ill, and I now suffer from many chronic pain conditions, GI problems and other weird things that happen when your immune system is suppressed. Not being able to go back to work, and disability not enough to cover my basic needs, never mind medical costs, I needed to figure out a way to support myself and my two pets.

I have always wanted to live in an RV since I was a kid, and be in the wilderness full time. Being in Canada that proves quite challenging with our winters. Some will say down right insane, and I DO agree with that statement. I bought a RV anyway, and it was in very bad shape, not meant for winter at all, and probably should of been set on fire instead of renovating it. I’m pretty sure the previous owners died in it, it was haunted for a bit. Determined, I ripped it all apart down to the tin and re-designed it for Canadian winters and my lifestyle. I named this RV ‘Dragon Wagon’. as my design had to incorporate the 400+ dragons I own… This was the start to a more affordable life with the increasing inflation of the greedy. Now I have turned this 3 year bad project into an art career adventure with my talents that were lost for a long time. Stick with your goals, you’ll be amazed what you can accomplish! Being disabled, it took me a while, but I did it!
