With heartfelt tribute, I would like to commemorate the grandfather of heavy metal, Ozzy Osbourne (3 December 1948 – 22 July 2025). Ozzy truly was a pioneer, not just for metal but for music as a whole. He redefined what it meant to be an icon—his voice, his style, his unpredictability, and of course, his sheer presence on stage. From Black Sabbath to his solo career, he carved a legacy that will resonate for generations to come. There’s not a soul on this planet that doesn’t know who he is.
It’s incredible how his influence extended beyond music too—he's been a symbol of rebellious freedom, of individuality, and of the raw, unfiltered energy that rock 'n' roll has always represented. His ability to stay relevant over decades, despite the many ups and downs, is a testament to his resilience and artistic brilliance. A true trailblazer. He’s a heavy influence to me throughout my life, not just in music, but also in many forms of art.
My condolences to the family and all who loved him. Farewell Prince of Darkness, until the next life.
